![]() Peter Douglas “Doug” Brinkmeyer, 56, entered the eternal kingdom on February 2, 2006. Following a family burial, a memorial service will be held on Monday, February 6th at 3:00 p.m. The service will be held at Advent Episcopal Church, followed by a celebration gathering in the parish hall. Please bring pictures and stories to share, and Cursillistas wear your crosses. Doug was born in Dayton, Ohio on August 26, 1949, and graduated from the University of Cincinnati where he was a founding member of the U.C. Phi Gamma Delta fraternity chapter. He received his J.D. from FSU College of Law in 1975. Doug took a job in Lakeland, FL after graduating law school but quickly returned to Tallahassee to become a life long resident. Doug shared a life with his wife Robin and daughters Jamie and Kristen, and son-in-law Chip Williams. Doug and Robin celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on December 19, 2005. Others left to cherish his memory include his mother-in-law, Harriet Rue and brother-in-law Jim Rue and his family in Dayton, OH; Magda Garcia and Christina Rue Garcia of Caracas, Venezuela, and Michael Brinkmeyer of Washington DC.
